Colombian Cristian Arango, champion of the MLS Cup last year with Los Angeles FC (LAFC), scored on Saturday in his debut with Real Salt Lake, which thrashed Orlando City 4-0 with a goal from Venezuelan Jefferson Savarino and another from Ecuadorian Anderson Julio.

Arango left LA FC in February on his way to Mexican Pachuca after being the top scorer for the Los Angeles team in the last two seasons (14 goals in the first and 18 in the second, including regular phase and playoffs of the MLS).

The Colombian national team player, beloved in Los Angeles, was not lucky with Pachuca, which paid $6 million for his transfer, and decided to return to the MLS now with Real Salt Lake.

In his return, he immediately responded to the confidence placed in him by the Utah team, and this Saturday he only needed 23 minutes with his new team to open his goal tally with a header from a corner kick.

Justen Glad, also with a header after a corner kick, extended the lead before halftime for Real Salt Lake, which crushed Orlando City in the second half through Savarino, who scored after a great chest control and a perfect crossed shot, and Julio, who found himself alone against the visiting goalkeeper and finished perfectly.

Real Salt Lake is provisionally fourth in the West, pending the results of tonight's match between LA FC and the Seattle Sounders, and has five wins and two draws in their last seven MLS games.
