The Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina will undergo surgery, after the elbow injury he suffered in the match between Al-Nassr vs. Al-Shabab, where he had to be carried on a stretcher and in an ambulance for the doctors to treat the severe pain he felt in his arm. In this way, the goalkeeper will have several weeks of recovery and will be out of the Saudi Arabian team.
The club Al-Nassr itself announced through its social networks the news that David Ospina will be operated on, after a thorough study carried out by a specialized doctor to see what would be best for his recovery.
"The star David Ospina will undergo surgery on his elbow tomorrow, Tuesday. This came after the examination the player had today with a specialized surgeon in Spain," the Arab team published.
David Ospina's recovery could take at least six weeks, so he could return to training in March and then return to the field.
On the other hand, Al-Nassr also sent messages wishing him a speedy recovery. "We are all with you... and we hope for your return. We wish you a speedy recovery, God willing," the club said.
Seeking a Replacement for David Ospina
The Colombian's injury has prompted Al-Nassr to get to work and look for a reliable replacement for their goal. In the last few hours, there have been rumors that Keylor Navas would be close to signing with the Saudi Arabian team and joining forces with Cristiano Ronaldo again.
According to 'Marca', the Costa Rican goalkeeper is not comfortable at Paris Saint Germain because he has very few minutes, as Gianluigi Donnarumma is the starter, and the operation would not be very complicated.
Al-Nassr's idea is for Keylor Navas to join their squad this very month of January since the recovery of the Colombian national team goalkeeper - injured in the recent match against Al Shabab for matchday 13 of the Saudi Arabian League - could last several weeks.
