The teams of Colombian professional football have already started their preseason to arrive in the best possible way to the start of the Liga BetPlay 2023, which will begin in the last week of January. There are 20 coaches who will seek glory with their respective teams. There are Argentine, Brazilian, Mexican, and of course, local coaches. In the following paragraphs, we will tell you who will compete in the tournament from the bench. You cannot miss it.

Which teams will play in Liga BetPlay 2023?

The tournament will feature the participation of 20 clubs. With the relegation of Patriotas and Cortuluá, their places will be taken by Boyacá Chicó and Atlético Huila. Águilas Doradas, Alianza Petrolera, América, Bucaramanga, Nacional, Tolima, Cali, Pasto, Pereira, Envigado, Medellín, Santa Fe, Jaguares, Junior, La Equidad, Millonarios, Caldas, and Unión Magdalena are the other teams that will compete in Liga BetPlay 2023.

Liga BetPlay 2023: the 20 coaches

Millonarios: Colombian Alberto Gamero has been coaching the club since 2020. He is one of the most solid coaches in the FPC.

Atlético Nacional: Brazilian Paulo Autuori returned to 'El Verdolaga' in 2022 for his second stint as coach.

Deportivo Cali: Colombian Jorge Luis Pinto arrived at the club in 2022 following the departure of Rafael Dudamel.

Independiente Medellín: David González, runner-up coach in the FPC, will seek to consolidate himself in 2023.

Jaguares: Carlos 'Piscis' Restrepo became the new coach for 2023. His last experience was as an assistant at Nacional.

Alianza Petrolera: Hubert Bodhert, a Colombian with German origins, arrived at the club in 2021 and will continue to lead the team in 2023.

Once Caldas: Diego Corredor remains the team's coach for Liga BetPlay 2023.

Junior: Arturo Reyes arrived in November last year and will have his second spell as coach of 'rojiblanco' after the departure of Julio Comesaña.

América de Cali: Brazilian coach Alexandre Guimaraes will continue to lead the club, which he joined in 2022 after saying goodbye to Nacional.

La Equidad: Colombian Alexis García begins his fourth year as coach of the team. How will he fare in 2023?

Deportivo Pasto: The management decided to renew Flabio Torres, who will be in charge of the team throughout 2023.

Deportivo Pereira: Colombian Alejandro Restrepo, champion with the club, will coach 'Matecaña' in 2023. His goal is to reach the Libertadores.

Envigado: Colombian José Alberto Suárez remains at the helm of the club's sports project in 2023.

Boyacá Chicó: Mexican Mario García is the coach of the recently promoted team and will seek to go as far as possible in the league.

Deportes Tolima: Hernán Torres remains the coach of Tolima, a club he joined in 2020.
