A recognized journalist announced the name and presentation date of Colombia's new coach.

A renowned journalist at ESPN revealed the name of the new coach and the presentation date of the Colombia National Team, one of the most anticipated news by the Colombian people following Reinaldo Rueda's failure in the path to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where they didn't even reach the playoffs and finished in sixth place.

With the recent forgettable qualifiers, the Colombia National Team focuses on the goal of the 2026 World Cup despite the remote possibility that exists for Qatar 2022 due to the Byron Castillo case. Beyond that, everyone's eyes are on who will be the coach leading the new project.

There are many names being considered within the Colombia National Team, from Colombians like Alberto Gamero to foreigners like Marcelo Bielsa or the already occupied Ricardo Gareca or Gustavo Alfaro. A vacancy that seduces any coach, although the Federation has preferred to be cautious.

As time goes by, the rumors don't stop. This time, journalist Jorge 'Patrón' Bermúdez, on ESPN Colombia, revealed the name of what would be the new coach of the Colombia National Team and the presentation date, stating that the work will begin in September with some friendly matches.

"In July they will name Néstor Lorenzo and in September he will debut as the coach of the National Football Team of Colombia, unless Guardiola decides to come here for $500,000, unless Luis Díaz convinces Klopp to coach for free, unless Marcelo Bielsa says he will lend a hand to the Colombians, or unless Tite says he will no longer coach Brazil and comes to Colombia. Unless one of those things happens, they can stop counting in July," Jorge Bermúdez said on ESPN.

It's worth mentioning that Néstor Lorenzo, an Argentine, was the assistant coach of José Pékerman when he was in charge of the Colombia National Team. The first challenge he would have so far is the friendly against Saudi Arabia at the beginning of September. This coach gains strength, according to Jorge Bermúdez.
