The former goalkeeper broke down when remembering the 'Coloso de Buenaventura'.
The former football player Freddy Rincón, who played for teams like Corinthians and Real Madrid, died at the age of 55 after a traffic accident on Monday in Cali, a city located in the southwest of Colombia.
This was reported by the medical chief of Imbanaco Clinic, Laureano Quintero, who said in a statement to the press alongside the player's children that "despite all the efforts of our team, Freddy Eusebio Rincón Valencia has passed away."
Óscar Córdoba, former goalkeeper of the Colombian national team, found out about Rincón's death during a live program and broke down when remembering him.
"It's tough. Understanding how hard the accident was and the news that came, one felt a slight hope that he would recover... Colombia loses a hero and gains a legend," said the former football player on Espn.
