The initial medical report stated that Rincón was in critical condition, and in a new statement from the doctors, they indicate that the former footballer's situation remains the same.

"Freddy Eusebio's condition remains profoundly critical. Follow-ups, diagnostic tests, radiological studies, and clinical condition do not show a favorable evolution," said Laureano Quintero, medical director of Clínica Imbanaco.

"As we stated from the very beginning, his condition and criticality are extreme. The prognosis remains highly reserved," added Quintero.

"We will continue with all the pertinent measures, and it must be clear that the evolution is not favorable, and the condition remains extremely critical. We will inform promptly what is pertinent. We appreciate preserving discretion in communications out of respect for his dignity and that of his family," concluded the doctor in charge of the football legend.

Freddy Rincón was involved in a collision between his truck and a public bus on Fifth Street with 34th Avenue in the city of Cali. The vehicle in which the former Colombian national team footballer was traveling was hit by a bus. Local media report that five other people were also injured in the crash.

Let's remember that Freddy Rincón was part of Colombia's golden generation that qualified for three consecutive World Cups (1990, 1994, and 1998) and played for Real Madrid (Spain), Napoli (Italy), Palmeiras and Corinthians (Brazil), and América de Cali (Colombia).
