What are Marithea's expectations for this grand international final?
I have no expectations. I am too relaxed. I don't think I have ever felt so relaxed. Just like when people thought after winning Red Bull Colombia that I would go in first, now that I'm doing well I feel the same. Calm.
How does Marithea feel before the event?
Honestly, I don't feel anything. I think I will only feel the pressure on Saturday itself.
Do you feel like the favorite to win the event?
Yes, I feel like the favorite. If I could choose someone to face, it would be Aczino.
What do you think Marithea needs to improve?
I like the phrase "Don't be afraid of perfection, you'll never reach it". I think there is always something to improve and refine.
What makes this edition special?
I like that it's in Chile. I don't think the audience will be biased.
What do you think of the jury?
I like that there are no two from the same country and that each one represents a different era. Also, each of them has a different vision and style. Each one will value different things. For me, it's fine.
Are Mexicans the favorites to win the Red Bull International?
The favorite will always be Aczino. Nobody wants to face him here. The same with Skone. Furthermore, Gazir comes as a candidate.
Who do you think can surprise?
A spot is an opportunity. Anyone can win. Look at Rapder's case last year.
Is this the most important tournament of your life?
I think the most important one was Red Bull Colombia because it allowed me to be here.
How do you see Stick, representative from Peru?
He is going to break the curse of Peru. He comes in an excellent moment. Look at what he did in BDM. He is, today, the best that Peru has. He has been very unfair with him.
