With three goals from their top scorer Facundo Suárez and one from Maximiliano Caire, Oriente Petrolero defeated Nacional Potosí 4-2 at the 'Tahuichi' stadium last night.

The victory serves as a boost ahead of Tuesday's Copa Sudamericana match against Unión de Santa Fe.

The albiverde team began to build the victory with Facundo Suárez's goal at the 18th minute. The striker received a cross from Hugo Dorrego and with a soft touch defeated Sait Mustafá.

With the score 1-0, they went into halftime. In the second half, Nacional Potosí had the 'chance' to equalize through a penalty, but Wilson Quiñónez saved the shot taken by Cristian Álvarez.

At the 53rd minute, it was midfielder Marco Andia who providentially equalized with a long-range shot that bounced off Jamir Berdecio and deceived goalkeeper Quiñónez.

Then at the 62nd minute, Cristian Álvarez had his revenge by scoring the second goal for the visitors. The player received a pass from Daniel Mancilla and with a well-placed shot, he scored.

To try to reverse the result, coach Erwin Sánchez sent Daniel Rojas, Hugo Rojas, and Luciano Guaycochea to the field.

Facundo Suárez appeared on the scoreboard again by scoring a header at the 76th minute. Luciano Guaycochea took the corner kick for Suárez to score.

The 3-2 came at the 77th minute, also through the air and again Suárez, after receiving a cross from Rodrigo Saucedo.

Maximiliano Caire, with a free kick, scored the definitive 4-2. The Argentine left the Potosino goalkeeper standing still.

The three goals from Facundo Suárez unleashed a shower of praise for the Argentine forward on social media.

With the victory, Oriente temporarily climbs to fourth place in the standings with 12 points. Next Sunday, Oriente must host The Strongest, but before that, on Tuesday, they must face Unión de Santa Fe.
