The Argentine footballer was presented this Wednesday as the main signing of the Bolivian team for the Libertadores.
The Argentine midfielder Cristian "Pochi" Chávez was presented on Wednesday morning as a reinforcement for Wilstermann, who is preparing for the start of the Liga tournament and the Copa Libertadores de América.
Dozens of fans of the red team went to the airport to welcome the Argentine player, something similar happened at the press conference where Chávez thanked the support and said that he loves the idea of playing the Libertadores with Wilstermann.
"I come to win things with Wilstermann, not to take a walk. I have to adapt to the group and get physically fit," said Chávez in his presentation.
Chávez is Wilstermann's main signing for this season, with him they seek to win both tournaments this year and advance as far as possible in the Libertadores.
"When I put on the shirt I will give it my all," assured the player who previously played for Boca Juniors and Asteras Tripolis, in Greece.
"We need an idol, a different player like Chávez, who awakens the fans' illusion. We want to see Wilstermann play with a full stadium, not only in local matches, but also in Liga matches," declared Grover Vargas, president of Wilstermann.
"I am certain that Chávez will measure up. We want Wilstermann to be the pride of Cochabamba and Bolivia, and we want to regain the title, which we could not reach in the previous tournament, and we have the illusion of making this come true," mentioned Vargas.
