Fans of Boca Juniors ask Carlos Tevez to stay

The fans of Boca Juniors asked Carlos Tevez today at the Bombonera stadium to decline the offer from Shanghai Shenhua and remain with the xeneize in 2017.

"Carlitos is not leaving" and "Tevez is from Boca and he is not leaving Boca", were the chants heard at the Bombonera as a plea to their idol to stay at the club next year.

In the 4-1 victory against Colon, which guaranteed Boca to remain as leader of the Argentine tournament, the xeneize fans had a subdued celebration awaiting Tevez's decision, which will only be made public after his wedding next weekend.

The Argentine forward received an offer that, according to local media reports, would be close to 80 million dollars for a two-year contract with Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua.

In what could be his last match with Boca, Tevez scored a goal today, another one was converted by Cristian Pavón and Ricardo Centurión scored a brace, with one of those goals assisted by the xeneize idol.

With one minute left, coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto decided to substitute Tevez for Nazareno Solís in an ovation that made Tevez cry, as he greeted the coach and then one by one his teammates on the bench.
