River Plate celebrates their championship in the Professional League-2023 of Argentine soccer and defeated Racing 2-1 on Friday night, in one of the matches for the 27th and final round of the championship.
Consagrado champion a couple of days ago, River Plate lifted the championship trophy after a comfortable victory over Racing in one of the derby matches, with goals from Lucas Beltrán (22) and Chilean defender Paulo Díaz (71).
Jonathan Gómez (90+3) scored a great free kick for Racing, who played the entire second half with ten players due to the expulsion of defender Gonzalo Piovi (45+1).
The success against Racing extended River's remarkable moment, finishing the championship with 61 points in 27 matches, 11 points ahead of the runner-up Talleres (50), and also achieving a new record at the Monumental stadium, where they obtained their 14th consecutive victory, eleven in the league and three in the Copa Libertadores.
