Boca Juniors wants to confirm its recovery and continue climbing in the League Tournament standings in the visit to Unión de Santa Fe: it could secure a spot in the CONMEBOL Sudamericana.
In between the CONMEBOL Libertadores and the championship, Jorge Almiron's team has chained two big victories, leaving behind the tough defeat against Godoy Cruz and getting two points away from the last spot for international tournaments.
On the other hand, Boca must improve its performance outside La Bombonera: since the arrival of the coach, they have only gained four points as visitors in six matches played.
In the football aspect, Almiron counts on those who played last Sunday, doesn't have Marcos Rojo, who traveled to the US, and will have to consider the possible returns of Dario Benedetto, Luca Langoni, Exequiel Zeballos, and Equi Fernandez.
On the rival side, Unión will seek to recover from the defeat against Atletico Tucuman and add its second victory under Kily Gonzalez's command to move away from the bottom of the standings. They are only four points ahead of Huracán, the team that would currently be relegated by the annual table.
In the recent clashes between Boca and Tatengue, the Santa Fe team won the last one at La Bombonera, got a draw and another victory, but as the home team. The last xeneize victory at the 15 de Abril stadium was in March 2019.
