Boca Juniors achieved its goal, and secured its qualification after defeating Colo Colo in the fifth match of the Copa Libertadores, and the coach Jorge Almirón highlighted the effort made by the Peruvian Luis Advíncula, who played a significant part of the second half with a physical drawback due to an injury in his right knee, after the coach had no more substitutions left.
After the match against the Chilean team, the coach had good words of reference for 'Rayo', who apart from this match, has stood out in previous Libertadores matches. "What Luis (Advíncula) did was emotional for the people. He got injured and kept running. The team is on the rise, but unfortunately some got injured", he commented.
"It doesn't surprise me. He is a national team player, with experience. He understands with Chelo in that sector", he commented about the winger and highlighted: "After the injury, the people appreciate it because he made two or three runs that helped the team a lot. For any player, giving yourself and being recognized by the people...That's what the team needed. Very good for him".
What injury did Advíncula suffer?
When Almirón was asked about the pain that affected Advíncula during the match against Colo Colo, he said the following. "It was a ligament sprain. He will also undergo tests. He stepped wrong in a play and his knee bent".
