River Plate beat Sporting Cristal 4-2 in an exciting match for the second matchday of Group D of the 2023 Copa Libertadores played this Wednesday at the Monumental stadium in Buenos Aires, in front of more than 80,000 spectators.

Uruguayan Nicolás de la Cruz (17), Esequiel Barco (35 and 52), and Pablo Solari (61) scored the goals for the Millonario's victory, while Ignacio (6) and Washington Corozo (40) reduced the scoreline for the Rimense team.

Martín Demichelis' team played a large part of the match with ten players due to the expulsion of defender Enzo Díaz (38).
