The Argentine National Team faces Panama this Thursday, March 23rd, in the first friendly match, after being crowned champion of the Qatar 2022 Cup. And in view of the match at the Monumental stadium, one of the key points to consider is the transfer of the 'Scaloneta' from the concentration to the River stadium, to prevent the crowd of fans from impeding the progress of the delegation, as happened a few months ago.
In that sense, the transfer operation will be supported by both the Provincial and City Police of Buenos Aires. The Immediate Operations Tactical Unit (UTOI) and the Motorized Prevention Group (GPM) will also be in charge of escorting the players from the AFA training facility, and once they leave the concentration, they will be guarded by the City Police.
However, according to the Argentine press, if the ground trip becomes impossible, they have prepared six helicopters to quickly transport the players to the River colossus: everything would be done in just 10 or 12 minutes in total.
It should be noted that if they have to resort to Plan B, they will not be able to land directly on the field of play, because the doors of the Monumental will already be open by then. They will have to do it on the auxiliary fields, which are located behind the stadium.
With Messi, the lineup against Panama
The expectation to see Lionel Messi and company is quite high: it will be Argentina's first match after winning the third World Cup. In fact, so that the fans can applaud their stars, Lionel Scaloni has decided to repeat the same eleven that defeated France on penalties in the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
"Surely the players who were in the World Cup will play. And then we will see during the match. I would like the people to see these players play," Scaloni anticipated. That is to say, the 'Albiceleste' will line up with Emiliano Martínez; Nahuel Molina, Cristian Romero, Nicolás Otamendi, Marcos Acuña; Rodrigo De Paul, Enzo Fernandez, Alexis Mac Allister; Ángel Di María, Julián Álvarez, and Lionel Messi.
