He wants to play. Peruvian player Paolo Guerrero is eager to make his debut with his new team, Racing Club de Avellaneda, a club that he was presented with on January 26th and will play with until December of this year.
"I hope beyond all the eagerness to play already, all those sensations come to me now that I arrived at this stadium, it often happens that you feel the anxiety to be there and well, let's wait for this next week to see if I'm ready and integrated into the group," Guerrero said.
The 'Predator' mentioned that his best ally is tranquility, as he is anxious to finally make his debut with 'La Academia'. "I am following the steps that coach Roberto [Díaz] gives me, he tells me 'Stay calm, you'll be fine', but the player, you know, always wants to be there, always wants to play, there is a lot of anxiety that I need to manage," he said.
The former captain of the Peruvian national team stated that he received several offers before signing with Racing, he mentioned that despite other clubs reaching out, he waited for the Argentine team because he wanted to play for them, as it always motivated him.
Finally, he revealed that he had a previous contact with the club's stadium, called 'El Cilindro de Avellaneda', "I filmed a commercial in 2018 and said 'I have to play here', it is an incredible stadium and I have also watched Racing's games, the fans are very passionate and amazing," he concluded.
