Argentina vs. Poland: Messi and Lewandowski meet at the World Cup
The Argentina vs. Poland match of the third round of Group C in the Qatar 2022 World Cup not only meant the qualification of both teams to the round of 16, but also the meeting of two great figures like Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski. After the end of the game, both players were seen chatting amicably in the middle of the field. Although the content of that conversation is unknown, many Barcelona fans were excited to see both of them wearing the blaugrana jersey.
A few days before the restart of La Liga, Mundo Deportivo interviewed Lewandowski and asked him about the possibility of seeing him alongside the 'Pulga'.
"Getting together doesn't depend on me. Of course, I would like to play with him (Messi) before retiring, especially because now we see him playing more as a 'playmaker', maybe scoring fewer goals and giving more passes to his teammates, although he still scores. But compared to other times, he is now the player any forward would dream of playing alongside," he commented.

Likewise, the former Bayern Munich player praised the level of the Argentine and made it clear that he is the top favorite for the Ballon d'Or.
"Perhaps there is another player who plays in the same club, but there is only one World Cup that decides who will win it this season and Leo is now in the first position for sure. This is because of what he has achieved, which means everything to him. Now he can enjoy it," he commented.
