The recognitions to the world champion continue. This time it was the turn of Benfica, a club from the Portuguese league, which decided to create a special jersey to celebrate the Qatar 2022 title won by its two Argentine internationals, Enzo Fernández and Nicolás Otamendi.
The jersey, announced by the club through its official social media, is the same one that the Portuguese club usually wears on the field: red, with thin white lines. The only difference, in the case of both players, will be on the back.
According to the published images, Fernández and Otamendi's jerseys will have their names and numbers in gold, instead of white. This tribute is related, of course, to the gold medal obtained in the World Cup with the Argentine national team, but also to the fact of making history for Portugal.
Both the defender and the midfielder of Benfica, by winning the World Cup, became the first footballers to win the most important competition in football while playing for a Portuguese team.
