Triumph of Argentina vs. Mexico
The Argentine football team, one of the top contenders for the title, recovered from their disappointing debut and kept their chances of advancing in the World Cup alive by defeating Mexico 2-0 on Saturday with goals from Lionel Messi and Enzo Fernández.
With the victory in the second round, Argentina took second place in Group C with three points, tied with Saudi Arabia, one point behind the leader Poland and two points ahead of their opponent Mexico.
The 'Albiceleste' was saved. Emiliano 'Dibu' Martínez blocked a goal shot from Alexis Vega and keeps Argentina vs. Mexico scoreless
The Mexican national team sought the goal in the few opportunities they had and, in the clearest one, a free kick near the area, it was the Aston Villa goalkeeper who denied the possibility to Tata Martino's team.
Alexis Vega's accurate shot passed by the side of the wall and with great precision, but Martínez jumped, flew, and caught the ball in an instant.
