After an emotional farewell at Ezeiza, Ángel Correa and Thiago Almada arrived in Doha to join the training of the Argentine National Team, in preparation for their first match in the Qatar 2022 World Cup against Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, November 22.
The footballers from Atletico Madrid and Atlanta United went straight to the University of Qatar training facility, where the 'albiceleste' is training. There will be an open practice this Saturday.

Upon their arrival, Almada stated for the media: "A World Cup is the most beautiful thing for a player. I started screaming. The first thing I did was call my family." Furthermore, the MLS player said they hope to "have a good World Cup and bring it to Argentina."
On the other hand, Joaquín Correa considered that after winning the Copa America, Argentina has possibilities in the 2022 World Cup: "Hopefully we can continue that streak, that's what all Argentines want."
It's worth mentioning that Lionel Scaloni had to make changes to his World Cup squad list due to the injuries of Joaquín Correa and Nico González. Ángel Correa from Atletico Madrid and Thiago Almada from Atlanta United were called up to fill those two vacancies to complete the twenty-six chosen players.
