South American Games: Peschiera, Bazo, and de Trazegnies each won a gold medal for Peru.

The Peruvian delegation has won eight gold medals in the sport of sailing at the 2022 South American Games.

Four medals raised for the Peruvian sailing team. Jean Paul de Trazegnies, Stefano Peschiera, and María Belen Bazo won the gold medal in each of their specialties, while Caterina Romero won the silver medal.

María Belén Bazo became the South American champion after finishing in first place in the five regattas. The Peruvian athlete rises to the top of the podium in the IQFOIL 95 Female sailing modality, surpassing the Brazilian Giovanna Prada, the Argentine Chiara Ferretti, and the Venezuelan Carenys Salazar Gonzalez.

The second female representative to stand out was Caterina Romero, who won the silver medal in the Women's Sunfish final, only surpassed by Constanza Paz María Olivares Reyes.

Jean Paul de Trazegnies and Stefano Peschiera took home the gold medals in the ORDESUR 2022 Games, bringing great joy to Peru in the women's selection.

In the case of Jean Paul de Trazegnies, the sailor from the national sailing team won the gold medal in the Men's Sunfish modality after eight regattas. The Peruvian surpassed the Colombian Simon Gomez Ortiz, the Argentine Martin Alsogaray, the Venezuelan Rafael Chirinos, the Chilean Ricado Seguel, and the Brazilian Marcondes de Mattos.

In the ILCA 7 boat modality, Stefano Peschiera climbed to the top of the podium after competing in eight regattas. Although he did not win all of them, he achieved some first places to surpass the Argentine Francisco Guaragna and the Brazilian Felipe Mallmann.

Silver medal in Taekwondo

Camila Cáceres was the last to add a silver medal to the Peruvian selection. The taekwondo athlete lost to Sandy Macedo but took second place in the Women's 49 kg to -57 kg category.

The Peruvian did a great job after defeating the Paraguayan Johana Fernández in two sets.
