River Plate's mission is to continue on the path of triumph to fight for the title of the Professional League of Argentina. In matchday 13, the team faces Newell's at the Monumental Stadium and is currently taking a comfortable advantage thanks to Pablo Solari, who shone with a brace in three minutes.
The first goal from the 21-year-old attacker came at 29', at the least expected moment: there was a dispute on the left wing and the ball remained loose. Immediately, Agustín Palavecino, after analyzing the situation, made a cross to the right, low, surprising everyone.
Pablo Solari received the ball on the edge of the box, positioned himself for his right foot and shot powerfully towards the goal, defeating goalkeeper Lautaro Morales, who couldn't do anything against the slight deflection off Leonel Vangioni, his teammate. The whole River Plate squad quickly embraced each other.
And the second goal for 'Millonario' was scored at 33', thanks to Solari's own pressure: he forced the goalkeeper to clear desperately. In midfield, Emanuel Mammana won the aerial duel, then Nicolás De la Cruz flicked the ball with his head and in an instant, Juanfer Quintero changed the rhythm with a delicate touch for Palavecino. The midfielder, as in the first goal, assisted Pablo, who did not fail to score.
If the result holds, River Plate will climb to fourth place in the Professional League of Argentina, reaching 21 points, and will be seven points behind Atlético Tucumán, who is the sole leader; while Newell's will drop one position and will now be in 15th place, with only 17 points.
