Oscar Romero scored the 1-0 goal for Boca Juniors against Platense in the Professional League.

The objective of Boca Juniors is to return to the path of victory in the Professional League of Argentina and for now it achieves a good result against Platense, in round 12. After a good start in football, Paraguayan Óscar Romero took charge of breaking the parity and unleashing joy at La Bombonera.

The team led by Hugo Ibarra started with a high press, trying to generate errors from the opponent to find spaces. However, the 'Xeneize' goal did not come from a constructed play, but rather from a set piece that surprised goalkeeper Marcos Ledesma and his defenders.

After surpassing the 11-minute mark, referee Yael Falcón Pérez awarded a free kick in favor of Boca Juniors on the right side, near the area. Due to the distance, it was logical to think that the execution would be a cross, but Óscar Romero had other plans, relying on his good striking ability.

The Paraguayan midfielder, wearing the number 10 on his back, positioned himself for his left foot, chose an area and shot with violence. The ball surpassed the wall that protected the goalkeeper and embedded itself in the right angle, making Marcos Ledesma's stretch in vain. It was a stunning goal.

If the result is confirmed, Boca Juniors will climb to ninth place in the Professional League, reaching 18 points (Atlético Tucumán is the leader with 25 points); while Platense has the same number of points but is in eighth place due to a better goal difference.
