A series of disturbances arose between the fans of Independiente de Avellaneda and Rosario Central, after they drew without goals for the Argentine Professional League. The conflicts that were generated by the red team's fans were a complaint about the club's political situation.

Eduardo Domínguez's resignation, combined with the defeat against Racing, caused annoyance among the fans who arrived expressing their dissatisfaction at the Libertadores de América-Ricardo Bochini Stadium where they were playing against Rosario for the eighth round.
