Boca Juniors, one of the most popular clubs in Argentine football, defeated Talleres de Córdoba 1-0 at home on Saturday and ended a three-match losing streak in the Liga Profesional. With the victory in the eighth round, Boca climbed to tenth place in the standings with 12 points, with a mixed campaign of four wins and four defeats. Boca's winning goal came in the 80th minute from a penalty scored by experienced player Marcos Rojo, following a foul by Colombian Rafael Pérez on Darío Benedetto.
