"Boggio is our fourth reinforcement in this transfer window: he signed a contract until December 2026," Lanús announced on its social media platforms.
The footballer was present this Thursday at La Fortaleza to watch the match between Lanús and Independiente del Valle for the CONMEBOL Sudamericana. The 0-0 draw meant the elimination of the Argentine team, a situation that led to the dismissal of coach Jorge Almirón by the Granate leadership.
Boggio was born on March 10, 1999, in Montevideo. He was trained in Defensor and made his debut in the First Division on April 7, 2019, facing Boston River in the Torneo Apertura.
When the violet team was relegated to the B Division for the 2021 season, it was decided to loan the player to River Plate of Uruguay to continue gaining experience in the First Division.
In this 2022, 'Luly' returned to Defensor and was one of its main figures in the first half of the year. The footballer, who was part of the Under-20 National Team process in 2018 (the following year he was not called up for the South American Championship or the World Cup of the category), will have his first experience abroad in Lanús.
Boggio can play as a playmaker or an interior midfielder, both on the right and left side. He could also lend a hand as a winger.
