Brazil remains at the top of the medal tally and Argentina settled into third place.

Tennis and artistic gymnastics contributed a lot to the local delegation's rise, but the Brazilian team topped the charts: 28 gold medals, 27 silver medals, and 24 bronze medals.

Brasil leads the medal table at the III South American Youth Games Rosario 2022

After four days of sports and the first weekend of competition, Brazil continues to lead the medal table at the III South American Youth Games Rosario 2022. The Brazilian delegation has won 89 medals, including 38 gold medals, 27 silver medals, and 24 bronze medals. On the other hand, Argentina has won 53 medals and is in third place.

The Brazilian delegation has been strong in Swimming, Table Tennis, Beach Volleyball, Artistic Skating, and Taekwondo, sports in which they have won the most medals so far.

In second place, Colombia has accumulated 50 medals after three days of competition, including 18 gold medals, 17 silver medals, and 15 bronze medals. Swimming, Artistic Gymnastics, Olympic Wrestling, Archery, and Taekwondo have had Colombian athletes as main protagonists.

In third place, Argentina has won 53 medals (15 gold medals, 12 silver medals, and 26 bronze medals). The Argentine team dominated in Tennis, winning three out of the five gold medals, and in Artistic Gymnastics, with a total of 14 medals. They also had an active participation in Swimming, Rugby 7 (one gold medal and one silver medal).

So far, Rosario 2022 has awarded a total of 321 medals, and 11 out of the 15 countries have already won a medal.

There are still eight days of competition remaining, and the South American Medal Table will continue to accumulate victories and celebrations that will be remembered by future Olympic athletes from the continent.
