End of Marcos Riquelme's Journey with Sporting Cristal
The Argentine forward is no longer a player for the Peruvian club.
Marcos Riquelme is no longer a part of Sporting Cristal. The beer club officially announced the departure of the Argentine forward, who arrived in Peruvian football in February 2020.
"Thank you for your dedication, Marcos! You always showed your commitment, professionalism, and enthusiasm in every match. Best of luck!", says the message that the blue institution shared on social media.
Riquelme, who arrived at Sporting Cristal to replace his compatriot Emanuel Herrera, who moved to Argentinos Juniors, scored eight goals in the 1207 minutes he played in Liga 1. The attacker did not score in the Libertadores or Sudamericana.
