On November 25th, 2020, Diego Armando Maradona passed away, causing sorrow and pain among his followers and friends. One year later, his daughter Dalma Maradona announced that she will not participate in any tribute that is made to the former Argentinian number 10.
Through Instagram, the actress revealed that she has received many invitations but has not accepted any, and also stated that she has no plans to do so.
"Hello everyone. I am making this post because many people are inviting me to different tributes that will be held for my dad on November 25th. I have to be very honest and tell everyone that for me, that day is the worst day of my life," she said.
On the other hand, she stated that if the tributes were held on another date, she would not hesitate to attend.
"I have completely cancelled that day and what I most desire is for that day to have never existed. As long as they change the dates and pay tribute to my dad, I will be delighted to participate. But I feel that day is not for honoring, commemorating, or celebrating. Thank you," Dalma concluded.
