Peruvian journalism is in mourning following the death of Pierre Manrique this Tuesday, November 9, due to health-related causes. After learning the news, Argentine journalist Martín Liberman dedicated a few words to the press man, who worked for RPP Noticias.

"I am amazed and saddened by the death of my dear colleague Pierre Manrique in Peru. Attentive, cordial, kind, educated, investigator, great producer, and journalist. Rest in peace, dear Pierre. You left too soon but you left a mark. My sincere condolences," he wrote on his Twitter account.

As you may remember, Pierre Manrique studied at the Superior School of Sports Journalism of the Circle of Sports Journalists of Buenos Aires. For that reason, colleagues from that country know him and remember him with great affection.

From here, our condolences and hugs to family and friends. Rest in peace," he said.

Pierre Manrique confessed in an interview with the newspaper El Correo that his passion for journalism began when he was a child. After appearances on Radio Melodía and Radio Nevada, he founded his program, Nevada Deportiva, in 1990.

Moreover, until a few weeks ago, he worked as a host on 'Las Voces del Fútbol,' which was broadcast on Radio Unión and through social media.
