River informed this Sunday that the forward Rafael Santos Borré tested positive for Covid-19, so he will be out for at least 10 days for River Plate and the Colombian National Team.
"Player Rafael Borré was tested today and tested positive for COVID-19. He is asymptomatic and will remain isolated until his recovery," River Plate wrote on their official Twitter account.
This way, Marcelo Gallardo won't be able to count on him for the next Copa Liga Profesional match, and he won't be considered by coach Carlos Queiroz to be part of the Colombian National Team for the double date of the South American World Cup Qualifiers next week.
The absence of the forward adds to Nacho Fernández, who suffered a tear in the defeat against Banfield last Tuesday.
In the last River Plate match, a 2-1 victory against Rosario Central, Lucas Pratto replaced the Colombian player, who was isolated as a precaution, and scored 1 goal.
