Defensa y Justicia announced on their social media the loan signing of Braian Romero for one year and three months, until December 2021.
The winger arrives on loan from Independiente in exchange for $100,000 as he is one of the players that Lucas Pusineri was not going to consider for the return of activities.
Romero started his career at Acassuso, where he made his professional debut, and then went through Colón and Argentinos Juniors until he was acquired by Independiente in January 2018 at the request of Ariel Holan.
In 2019, he was loaned to Athletico Paranaense, a club with which he won the estadual, the Copa de Brasil, and the Levain Cup. At the beginning of the year, he returned to the Avellaneda club and played six games, scoring one goal.
He is the sixth reinforcement for Defensa y Justicia, who previously signed Marcos Ledesma, Gabriel Hachen, Ciro Rius, and River's youth players Enzo Fernández and Franco Paredes.
El Halcón is participating in the Copa Libertadores in Group G, which they share with Santos, Olimpia, and Delfín. On September 17, they will host the Ecuadorian team in what will be the first official match for Hernán Crespo's team.
