Boca Juniors and Minnesota United have closed the deal, and Emanuel Reynoso will continue his career in the MLS. According to Jeff Carlisle of ESPN FC, the MLS team will pay four million dollars for his services.
Payments will be made throughout Bebelo's new contract, which will last until the 2023 season, with a club option to extend it for an additional period at its completion.
Everything indicated that the agreement was going to be signed in February, but the matter was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and the partial suspension of the MLS.
In early July, Adrian Heath, the Minnesota coach, revealed to ESPN FC that talks between both clubs were "progressing." However, at one point, it was considered that the Cordoba-born player would go on loan for the rest of 2020, and then the purchase would be made. Finally, that did not happen, and Bebelo will be acquired now.
Reynoso arrives at his new team to bring quality to the attack and compete in the MLS Cup. The constant injuries of Trinidadian player Kevin Molino have led to the search for a top-level player to fulfill that role.
It is worth mentioning that the 24-year-old midfielder was a three-time champion with Boca. He played 124 professional matches, both with the xeneize shirt and with Talleres, and scored nine goals.
