While almost all global football is paralyzed due to the coronavirus, there are still celebrations taking place. Today, Boca Juniors celebrates its 115th anniversary, and even though they are not playing, their players, fans, and idols have shown their support.
One of them is the greeting from a former player and idol of the 'xeneize', Juan Roman Riquelme, who took the opportunity during his quarantine to greet the club: "Hello, Boca fans. I send you a big kiss. Take care of yourselves. Happy birthday!", he said.
The video was shared through social media, showing Riquelme, who is currently the club's second vice president, wearing the team's jersey and a hat with the classic "JR10" symbol.
Among the various greetings received by Boca Juniors for their 115th anniversary, there were also messages from coach Miguel Angel Russo and players Eduardo Salvio and Carlos Tevez. As an initiative to stay at home, the club encouraged the hanging of banners from windows.
