Last Sunday was not just any day for Ricardo Centurión, who received the worst news of his life after the death of his girlfriend Melody Pasini, who suffered a heart attack while driving her car in the streets of Argentina.
On the same day, the striker of Vélez Sarsfield posted a photo with Melody with the message "I will always love you, my love". Other phrases were "I will die of sadness" and "Why didn't you take me instead".
Now the 27-year-old Argentine has reappeared on social media. Centurión posted a story on Instagram with a selfie where he appears with Pasini. Both were wearing white polo shirts and looked happy.
Centurión received condolences and messages of support from the Argentine football community, including Vélez Sarsfield and Boca Juniors, the club where he played. He was also greeted by his friends Gustavo Bou, Darío Benedetto, and Peruvian defender and teammate at Vélez, Luis Abram.
Centurión has had several disciplinary issues throughout his career. He has played for Racing Club, Genoa (Italy), Sao Paulo (Brazil), Boca Juniors, Atlético San Luis (Mexico), and this season he joined the team in Liniers.
