The star forward of Flamengo, Gabriel Barbosa, Gabigol, announced on Tuesday that he is staying at the club after several months of speculation about his future.
The Brazilian club indicated on Twitter that the definitive transfer agreement with Inter Milan is until 2024.
"The nation embraced me. Here we live intensely. We get passionate! We smile! We suffer! We vibrate! We break barriers. If it's for the good of the Nation, I stay," the 23-year-old player announced in a video on his Instagram account.
"Yes, NATION! We will have goals from the red-black's top scorer until 2024! GABIGOL IS OURS!" tweeted Flamengo.
According to local press, Flamengo reached an agreement with Inter Milan, the club that owned his rights, for the player's transfer. He was the scorer of the two goals in the Copa Libertadores final against River Plate.
