Guerrero negotiations with Boca Juniors end without success
Negotiations between Paolo Guerrero's representative and Boca Juniors executives have reportedly ended without success due to the significant gap between what the "xeneize" club offers and what the Peruvian player demands. This was reported by the TyC Sport portal in Argentina.
Furthermore, it was detailed that the conversation between Boca and Guerrero reached a "deadlock" after the player's entourage communicated with the xeneize leadership to inform them that they considered the negotiations for the contract over.
The 36-year-old forward is under contract with Internacional de Porto Alegre, so he will have to report for preseason training this Wednesday. It has been rumored that his decision to play "on both fronts" with Boca did not sit well with Internacional.
Boca was willing to pay Guerrero's release clause, which is close to 4.5 million dollars, but it never materialized. Now, the leadership will decide whether to increase the offer and get in touch again or move in a different direction.
