Emanuel Herrera is counting down the hours to return to the field, after the tough injury he suffered earlier this year. In fact, the top scorer of the 2018 Championship is determined to help Sporting Cristal in the final stretch of the Clausura Tournament. His excitement is as big as the affection he has for the 'celeste' institution.

After six months of playing his last official match, Emanuel Herrera is talking to Depor in La Florida, to talk about his possible return to the field and his pending dream. However, he does not rule out playing for the national team, even though his situation is very complicated (due to his age and the series of requirements he must meet to acquire Peruvian nationality).

"I don't see playing for the national team as a pending dream. For example, a pending dream, for me, would be to play for River Plate or the Argentine national team. That would be beautiful. Although if they tell me to naturalize, of course I would love it," replied Emanuel Herrera.

"The support of my family, my friends, and the club has been essential during these 6 months. Thank God, the hardest part is over and I am just waiting to return," added the 'Machine'.
