The Argentine police thoroughly inspected the 'Millonario" team's attire prior to the Superclásico at La Bombonera. Law enforcement arrived with dogs to certify that everything is in optimal condition for the semifinals of the Copa Libertadores.

River Plate has six foreigners in their squad: Paulo Díaz from Chile, Robert Rojas from Paraguay, Nicolás de la Cruz from Uruguay, and Juan Fernando Quintero, Jorge Carrascal, and Rafael Santos Borré from Colombia. Marcelo Gallardo has decided not to make any changes to the lineup and will play with the same eleven that were in the first leg of the Copa Libertadores semifinals against Boca Juniors.
