Diego Maradona led his second training session with Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata this Wednesday.

His arrival was not only to manage Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata, but to revolutionize Argentine soccer and it is already beginning to show. Diego Maradona will make his first official request as the coach of 'Gimnasia' to strengthen his forward with a former soccer player. Yes, as you read it. Daniel Osvaldo, former player of Boca Juniors at 33 years old and current musician, would respond to the call of the Argentine 'Ten'.

In the last hours, the name of Osvaldo is all over the Argentine press and the rest of South America, since the former forward could return to soccer to be managed by Diego Maradona at the explicit request of the world champion himself. The injury of the young Lautaro Chávez opens up this possibility for the team from La Plata, but time is running out because the transfer window in Argentina closes on Monday.

According to information from Olé, Osvaldo would be optimistic about returning to soccer since he left it in 2016 and he would have said to his surroundings "I'm ready and eager to join". The only problem is that Maradona and Gimnasia need a player who is already ready to play as soon as possible, and it will take Daniel some time to be 100%, although he says he is physically fine.

His second training session

Diego Maradona directed his second training session as coach of Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata behind closed doors, four days before his debut with the Buenos Aires team, which will host Racing Club on Sunday in the sixth matchday of the Argentine Superliga.

"I respect all the clubs in Argentine and world soccer, but when I get involved in something I am very stubborn, very headstrong. I want everyone to know that I am going to give my all here. We have to take advantage now and accelerate Gimnasia," said Maradona in an interview with Fox Sports.
