River Plate will play a friendly match against All Boys on Friday to not lose the rhythm due to the break that the Argentine Superliga will have for the primary presidential elections, which will take place on Sunday throughout the country.
El Millonario will face All Boys, from the Second Division, on Friday morning, and all eyes will be on Chilean defender Paulo Díaz, the club's only signing.
It is likely that Díaz, who has not yet debuted, will play a few minutes in the closed-door friendly match.
Other players who are not in optimal physical condition and who could take the opportunity against All Boys to get in rhythm are forwards Ignacio Scocco and Lucas Pratto.
On the other hand, the other injured players, Leonardo Ponzio and Javier Pinola, are ruled out because they trained separately from the group on Thursday and will not receive medical clearance until next week.
River Plate will play their next match on Saturday, August 17 against Racing Club in the third round of the Argentine Superliga, and then they will host Paraguayan team Cerro Porteño on Thursday, August 22 in the first leg of the Copa Libertadores quarterfinals.
