Players Alfonso Parot and Francisco Silva officially signed their contracts as new reinforcements for Universidad Católica after successfully passing their medical exams on Saturday.
Through social media, Cruzados SADP announced the contract signing of 'Poncho' and 'Gato', who are returning to the team from Rosario Central and Independiente from Argentina, respectively.
Attached with an image of both players with a pen in hand and the folder containing their new contracts, UC wrote on Twitter, "All set with Poncho. @alfonso_parot sealed his link with #LosCruzados!" and "Signature! Francisco Silva is officially part of #LosCruzados! #SangreCruzada".
Parot, a left-back who will play for UC until the end of 2021, was developed in the team and has scored three goals in 163 matches. He has won the Copa Chile 2011, Supercopa 2016, and Torneo de Apertura in the same year.
Silva, a central midfielder who was a champion with Católica in the Torneo Nacional 2010 and Copa Chile 2011, as well as a winner of the Suruga Bank with Independiente in 2018, signed for the next two years.
