Trezeguet, former player of Juventus, had participated in a wine tasting event with his former teammate Mauro Camoranesi on the outskirts of Turin and was stopped by the police on Via Po', a central street in Turin, according to local media reports.

"Beggars, poor people. You don't even earn 2,000 euros per month," the Frenchman said to the police officers, who had to insist for the former forward to take the test.

At first, the Frenchman asked for an hour of time before taking the test, but he eventually agreed to the officers' requests, although still insulting them.

Trezeguet, who scored 171 goals in 320 games for Juventus and also played in the Spanish league with Hercules, was returning to Turin with his car alongside Camoranesi after spending the night in the town of Monforte d'Alba, where they had dinner and tasted some bottles of Barolo, a famous Piedmontese wine.
