Unrecognized son of ex-Argentinian World Cup champion arrested for drug trafficking

Cristian Daniel Zabala, unrecognized son of the ex-Argentina national team champion in 1978, Daniel Passarella, was arrested for drug trafficking in Chacabuco, Argentina. Cristian is the result of an extramarital relationship of the former River Plate defender.

According to Argentine sources, Zabala was part of a drug trafficking gang that operated from inside prison. Daniel Passarella's son had been previously arrested on other occasions.

Daniel Passarella also served as head coach for the Argentina and Uruguay national teams and is currently detached from football.
