The Sun Rises in Buenos Aires and the Monumental Lights Up
At 10 minutes, Javier Pinola rose higher than the rest and with a header put River ahead against Estudiantes, in a postponed match of matchday 25 of the Superliga where both teams are fighting for qualification to the Copa Sudamericana. Televised by Fox Sports Premium.
As soon as the match started, River showed that they would go after those three points to play an international cup in 2019. They kicked off, Borré tried a shot at goal, and in the rebound, Enzo Pérez almost found the goal, when the clock hadn't even reached eleven seconds yet.
At 10 minutes, River's team finally managed to break the deadlock. Colombian Juan Quintero sent the cross from the right, Pinola rose and headed the ball to the right post of Andújar, making the Monumental stadium celebrate.
The goal, however, didn't provide River with as much tranquility as their goalkeeper's interventions. Franco Armani was key on three occasions to save his team: at 5 minutes by catching a venomous cross for Pavone; at 12 minutes by blocking a long-range shot from El Tanque, and at 32 minutes by making a save with his opposite hand to Lattanzio's shot.
