"I must find a place where my characteristics fit better with the team's functioning"
This was announced today by Uruguayan attacker Washington Sebastián Abreu, stating that he will not continue in Audax Italiano despite having a contract until the end of 2018.
The adventure of the Uruguayan in the Italian store has not been the best: he has not scored a single official goal and was involved in a scandal after he attempted to throw a table at Audax fans who confronted him after a goalless draw against Deportes Antofagasta. As a consequence, he was unable to travel to Brazil for the rematch against Botafogo in the Copa Sudamericana first phase.
"I saw that my football characteristics didn't match with the team's, one also has to look for where they can be useful according to their playing style," added the former Uruguayan national team player in an interview with Radio Cooperativa.
