Regarding young coaches in Argentine soccer, he highlighted the work of Eduardo Coudet, with whom he has a special affection "for having coached Rosario Central", a club that Menotti admits to being a fan of and ironically never coached.
He recognizes the 'Chacho' Coudet for "getting the team right with young and experienced players".
He also praised Marcelo Gallardo, stating that "his incredible work and the reputation he built" made the 20-point lead that Boca has over River (in the Argentine Superliga) "not a catastrophe, as it would have been in another moment".
