"The day they shot me in the knee while trying to prevent my father's motorcycle from being stolen, I imagined that I would never play football again. What I probably didn't imagine was that, five years later, I would be playing for Talleres in La Bombonera stadium and scoring the winning goal. The whimsical designs of destiny are unpredictable like that. Emanuel Reynoso can attest to that, and even more so now that his life is about to take a new turn. Because 'Bebelo', finally, will play for Boca after Talleres accepted the offer to sell 60% of his pass."

The unsuccessful negotiation for Nicolás Gaitán and the return of Ricardo Centurión to Racing changed the landscape in the transfer market. That's when the leaders decided to dust off Reynoso's name, which had been discarded due to his high price.

Tuesday was a busy day of negotiations between club leaders. The talks were led by Daniel Angelici himself. In reality, the Boca Juniors executives had been after Bebelo for a long time. This had been acknowledged by an important Talleres leader in an interview with Clarín. However, the first time they contacted each other to start negotiations, the price of almost 7 million dollars for half of the player's contract completely vanished the intentions of signing the 22-year-old midfielder. What changed? In recent days, Talleres began negotiating with Independiente and valued the player at a completely different figure: 4 million dollars for 50% of his pass. The new price rekindled Boca's interest, and negotiations began on Monday.

Just when it seemed that Bebelo had everything ready to move to Avellaneda, an offer from Boca emerged that surpassed Independiente's. In total, the executives prepared an offer that amounts to around 4 million dollars. The payment will be 1.5 million in cash, plus the forgiveness of a debt of 1.2 million that Talleres owes Boca for the transfer of Sebastián Palacios, the cancellation of a payment that the Córdoba club had to make this year for 50% of Juan Cruz Komar, the loan of Alexis Messidoro -a midfielder currently on loan at Cruzeiro, where he has had few minutes-, 50% of Andrés Cubas, and the youth Alejandro Maciel.

Although Independiente's offer was more direct, Boca's leaders had several elements in their favor that ultimately tipped the balance. The main one is that both clubs share the registrations of several players, including Komar and Maciel. The appearance of those surnames and their respective percentages was key to make the offer even more attractive. In addition, the Córdoba institution retained 40% of Bebelo's contract to benefit from a future sale.

The player's agent, Mauricio Giomprini, had shown interest in Boca's interest. "For a player from the interior, playing for a big club like Boca is a dream come true," he said on the radio program Cómo Te Va.

Reynoso, who turned 22 last November, caused a sensation not only for his talent but also for his indictment as a "necessary participant" during a shootout that occurred last year in Córdoba and for his tough life story. "My dream is to play for the National Team and spend Christmas with all my free brothers," he said in an interview with this newspaper.

During the morning, he will undergo a medical examination and then he could officially join Boca.
