In the second leg match of the Copa Libertadores Quarterfinals between River Plate and Wilsterman, a minute of silence was observed in honor of the victims of the earthquake that occurred on September 19 in Mexico.

The match ended with a score of 8-0 in favor of the 'Millonarios', who advanced to the semifinals with an 8-3 aggregate score, as in the first leg the Bolivian team defeated them with a three-goal difference.
This act of solidarity with Mexico was also observed in the match between Real Madrid and Betis, as well as in the Chapecoense vs. Flamengo game.
