New signing for Inter Milan
French defender Benjamin Pavard, 27, joined Inter Milan on Wednesday, coming from Bayern Munich. He has signed until 2028.
The French international, World Cup champion with his national team in 2018, has played the last four seasons at Bayern Munich. He has won several titles, including a Champions League and four Bundesligas.
In an interview with his new team's television, Pavard explained that he chose Inter "because it is a winning club". "Just look at all the trophies I have behind me. I play football to win, that's why I decided to come to Inter."
"I am happy to have arrived at a team of this caliber," added the French defender, who pointed out that he arrives with the aim of showing that he can give "his best" and bring all the experience acquired at Bayern Munich and the French national team.
Asked about his dream as an Inter player, he was clear: "I want to win the Scudetto so that I can put the second star on the Inter shirt. I live to win trophies and this is important for the fans and the entire club. I will do everything possible to win as many titles as possible. There are world-famous players in the team who will help us reach them," he said.
